VSS(Visual Source Safe)는 Microsoft에서 만든 소프트웨어 형상관리(Software Configuration Management) 툴이다. CVS와는 서로 일장일단이 있는데, 일단 Visual C++ 같은 툴을 사용하는 경우, 개발 툴 내에 통합이 되기 때문에 사용이 편한 것이 제일 큰 장점이다.
